Our History

In February 2001, God placed a burden in the heart of Pastor Joselito S. Valenzuela to reach the lost in Canada. In the same year, he discovered that many Christians who migrated to Canada who were faithful Bible believing Baptists moved their membership to modernist and compromising churches. Pastor Valenzuela also learned that there was a great need in Canada for true Bible-believing Churches while the sinfulness of the world was getting bigger.

In 2003 God called him to Virginia Beach and established a Filipino Baptist congregation under East Coast Baptist Church and came to pastor a five year old church in Mississauga in 2005. Even then, God had been persistently calling him to start an independent, fundamental Baptist church in Canada.

With God's providence, through an unexpected incident, a clear leading of the Holy Spirit and with the advice of some independent Baptist Pastors, he resigned from the church in Mississauga to heed God’s call to start a new one. He started to hold home Bible studies, soulwinning and gathering faithful Christians who are committed to plant a church on the right foundation. Today, with the help of a sending church, support of a handful of faithful and committed believers, and the vision to see a NON-COMPROMISING BAPTIST CHURCH built, we rolled our sleeves up and began the first brick of East Brampton Baptist Church, “and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew16:18

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8

Our Mission

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:10

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. Jude 1:3

When the Lord Jesus Christ went back to heaven, he commissioned the church to GO and win more people to Him, baptize them after salvation and teach them to observe all things whatsoever He commanded us to do. But what makes this church different from other churches is - we earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. East Brampton Baptist Church is a fundamental, independent, soul-winning, old-fashion, Bible-believing, sin-hating, personal holiness, ecclesiastical separation, down to earth preaching, and separated from the world church.
